Black Earth Rising: Council Talk and Reception
BMA Council Members are invited to an evening of thought-provoking conversation and celebration of Black Earth Rising, organized by celebrated curator and writer Ekow Eshun. This groundbreaking exhibition explores the beauty of nature and the complex ties between the climate crisis and colonialism.
Ekow Eshun has been at the heart of international creative culture for several decades, curating exhibitions, authoring books, presenting documentaries, and chairing high-profile lectures. His work stretches the span of identity, style, masculinity, art, and culture.
Join us for an opportunity to hear Ekow Eshun discuss the ideas behind Black Earth Rising, enjoy cocktails and light bites, and engage with the artists and curators who are reshaping the way we think about climate justice, resistance, and liberation.
